Bassoon Straight Shaper, Fox 2

The Fox 2 Straight Sharper is one of the most widely used and trusted bassoon reed shapes. Closely related to the Knochenauer shape, it is distinguished by a short straight section near the tip.

All Fox Bassoon Shapers are precision-made from hardened aluminum for durability and consistent results. Each shaper consists of two pieces joined at the end by a specially designed screw system. To use, simply loosen the screws to create enough space to insert soaked cane (gouged side up), center the cane carefully, and then tighten the screws to secure it in place for shaping.
