Du Var (F. Lorée) gouged and shaped oboe cane, sold in individual pieces. Du Var cane is generally medium to medium-hard density, and is harvested and processed in France by F. Lorée. Reeds made from it tend to sound dark and lush while still feeling balanced between resistance and vibration, which makes it a good fit if you want warmth without a fight.
